Run A WordPress On The 123systems’ $10/Year VPS Step By Step

Recently 123systems solutions get a massive amount of yearly VPS plans stock available.

I know the 123systems Linux-128-Yearly Plan sucks. But the yearly price of this plan is just $10. Really cheap price, isn’t it? So I bought one 128MB-VPS stock to host a WordPress Blog.

Linux-128-Yearly Features:

  • Guaranteed RAM 128MB
  • Burstable RAM 128MB
  • Disk Space 5GB
  • Bandwidth 250GB/Month
  • $10.00 USD/Annually
  • Instant Setup!
  • 1vCPU
  • 1 IP Address
  • SolusVM Control Panel

Firstly I tried to use the LNMP Package to install Nginx、MySQL、PHP、phpMyAdmin on Linux. But the $10/year VPS has only 128MB RAM. The LNMP shell doesn’t work.

Then I choosed Debian 5 and used the Low End Box’s lowendscript to make Nginx, PHP/FastCGI and MySQL right on the VPS. The lowendscript also failed this time.

Finally I reinstalled CentOS 5 32-BIT With Kloxo pre-installed. This time I make it all OK With the Kloxo. Remember to switch program from Apache to Lighttpd.

Here is a live demo to run a WordPress Blog on a $10/year 128MB cheap VPS.
